Longer waiting times, increased and ever more complex security measures, often coupled with indifferent services are typically
the reward for international travelers nowadays.
The more frequent the travel, the more frequent the recurring problems are encountered. Registered Traveler
(RT) programs have the potential to expedite travelers across the entire airport process using biometric identifiers.
Airports have a crucial role to play in providing the necessary infrastructure for RT programs and, depending on services
offered and local circumstances operate these programs in public private partnerships with Government authorities
and airlines.
Interoperability between RT programs is of huge benefit to passengers, airports, airlines and Governments all over
the world. Dartagnan, via Schiphol Group, actively works with IATA Simplifying Passenger Travel Initiative and
Airports Council International to promote seamless travel and RT programs interoperability.
